JESS BYE (THEY/THEM)
SECRETARY AND TREASURER
Jess joined the Colorado West Pride Board of Directors in April and is committed to helping build a Pride organization that truly reflects the community it serves. Having lived in Grand Junction since 2018, Jess has been actively involved in local community organizing and engagement since 2024, working to create spaces where people feel connected, supported, and heard.
Jess believes that community is not only how we survive, but how we thrive. They are passionate about ensuring Colorado West Pride remains community-oriented, recognizing that the needs of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community are always evolving and that listening to those needs must remain at the heart of the organization's work. They believe actions matter more than words and strive to let their work speak for itself through transparency, accountability, and meaningful community involvement.
Outside of their role on the board, Jess spends much of their time engaged in local community initiatives and bringing people together. When they're not organizing or volunteering, they enjoy learning new things, exploring Grand Junction's Creative District, and appreciate body modification as a form of self-expression.
Two truths and a lie;
They once spent an entire day researching a random topic just because I was curious.
Needles make them pass out.
They have fallen asleep while getting a tattoo.
