Colorado West Pride is dedicated to celebrating the vibrancy & diversity of it's LGBTQIA+ community, including all of the wonderful resources available to us on the Western Slope, throughout Colorado, and across the country. We believe an essential part of any community organization is to connect individuals to vital support services at the local, state, and national level. By highlighting some of the many wonderful resources like mental health providers, advocacy organizations, and social groups, Colorado West Pride hopes to improve access to the information & assistance LGBTQIA+ folks they need to thrive. While not exhaustive, we aim to expand this list as we continue to research & grow.

Starting in 2022, Loving Beyond Understanding was established to develop social support for the local LGBTQ+ community. Since this date, we've grown, and have developed an accredited Gender Diverse Compassion training series, created and supported a broad range of LGBTQ+ centered groups and programming, and in December of 2023, we've opened The Center, an LGBTQ+ community center oriented to hosting a variety of queer centered groups and programming in an environment engineered to create a sense of belonging.

We believe that every voice matters, which is why we are establishing Inclusivity+ Committees at each of our campuses to ensure that diverse perspectives are not only heard but also validated and supported. Our commitment to inclusivity is ingrained in our core, reflected in our provision of trans-affirming healthcare and mental health benefits for all Hilltoppers. Hilltop is dedicated to creating a space where everyone can thrive and feel supported.

Harmony HRT is a patient-focused medical clinic founded in 2021 by Dr. Amy Bratteli, a board-certified family physician with a passion for hormone health. We specialize in hormone replacement therapy, offering personalized care for menopause, andropause, PMS, PCOS, metabolic syndrome, thyroid dysfunction (even when labs appear normal), and gender-affirming hormone therapy. Our goal is to help patients feel their best by providing compassionate, evidence-based treatment tailored to their unique needs.

Rainbow Closet Grand Junction is a non-profit organization founded by a Taylor Rubalcaba to help newly transitioning individuals find & explore free clothing in a safe environment. Rainbow Closet Grand Junction is available to members of the LGBTQIA+ community and its allies.
Local Resources

One Colorado is the state’s leading advocacy organization dedicated to advancing equality for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ+) Coloradans and their families. One Colorado advances equity and freedom for the LGBTQ+ community through state policy, advocacy, health care, and education. They progress the lived and legal equality for LGBTQ+ Coloradans to ensure the community's voices are heard and represented within halls of power—so that every Coloradan has the opportunity to thrive.

The 988 Colorado Mental Health Line is a free, confidential, and human 24/7 support service. If you or someone you know is struggling with an emotional, mental health, or substance use concern, you can call, text, or live chat with 988 at any time. You will be connected with a trained specialist who will ask a few questions to learn more about your concerns. Then they’ll listen to you, provide support, and if needed share relevant information and resources. Colorado West Pride is proud to have the 988 Colorado Mental Health Line as a sponsor for the 2nd year in a row!

Inside Out Youth Services is dedicated to providing quality programs and services to LGBTQIA2+ youth in Colorado Springs and the surrounding counties. Their wide range of offerings includes support groups, mentoring opportunities, educational workshops, and social activities, designed to meet the unique needs of LGBTQIA2+ youth and young adults at all stages of their journey.

The Center on Colfax opened in 1976 and has grown to become the largest LGBTQ community center in the Rocky Mountain region, giving voice to Colorado's lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ) community and playing a pivotal role in statewide initiatives to reduce harassment and discrimination. Today we are focused on fulfilling our mission by ensuring that every member of the LGBTQ community has access to the programs and resources they need to live happy, healthy, and productive lives.
State Resources

The Human Rights Campaign has spent more than 40 years creating the most powerful movement for equality our country has ever seen. But despite this progress, our most marginalized are still suffering from violence, discrimination and fear. the Human Rights Campaign's goal is to ensure that all LGBTQ+ people, and particularly those of us who are trans, people of color and HIV+, are treated as full and equal citizens within our movement, across our country and around the world.

The Lambda Legal Defense and Education Fund, Inc. (“Lambda Legal”) is a national organization working to achieve full recognition of the civil rights of lesbians, gay men, bisexuals, transgender people and everyone living with HIV, through impact litigation, education and public policy work. Lamda Legal never charges their clients for legal representation or advocacy, nor do they receive any government funding but instead rely on generous donations from the community.

The Trevor Project is the leading suicide prevention and crisis intervention nonprofit organization for LGBTQ+ young people. They provide information & support to LGBTQ+ young people 24/7, all year round in the areas of crisis services, peer support, advocacy, public education, and research.

PFLAG is an organization of LGBTQ+ people, parents, families, and allies who work together to create an equitable and inclusive world. They are hundreds of thousands of people and hundreds of chapters from coast to coast who are leading with love to support families, educate allies, and advocate for just, equitable, and inclusive legislation and policies. Since their founding in 1973, PFLAG works every day to ensure LGBTQ+ people everywhere are safe, celebrated, empowered and loved.
